He’s one of the most celebrated producers the world over, and his signature show, “Law & Order,” has garnered more acclaim – and successful spin-offs – than any other series in television history.
We are pleased to offer, from Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf, DEAD AGAIN (9 x 60’), the fascinating, new, nonfiction A&E Network series about an elite team of detectives that re-investigates controversial and mysterious murder cases to confirm, or reject, the original verdict. Produced in conjunction with Left/Right Inc., producers of such unscripted television and film projects as “The Rachel Zoe Project” (Bravo), “Mob Wives” (VH1), “Chasing Maria Menounos” (Oxygen), “This American Life” (Showtime), “Portraits from Ground Zero” (A&E) and many more, the 9-episode series is slick, stylized and compelling, and includes the procedural elements and "ripped from the headlines" approach that have made the “Law & Order” franchise so popular.
The top team of investigators include 13-year Chicago homicide Detective Michelle Wood; Detective Joe Schillaci, a 30-year veteran of the Miami PD and fan-favorite from TV series “The First 48”; and Kevin “Spider” Gannon, a retired NYPD detective and supervisor. With no prior knowledge of the crime or verdict, the trio begin each investigation at a meticulously reconstructed crime scene and work the case… interviewing witnesses, forensic specialists and other key players. The question is: Will they come to the same conclusion as in the original case? Or will they uncover new evidence that the killer could still be out there?
The shocking cases featured in DEAD AGAIN include a vicious double-homicide of a father and son attacked in their home; the horrific killing of a young mother living a double-life whose throat was slashed while her children slept nearby; the brutal murder of a young art student whose case takes an unforeseen turn that reveals a sinister plot for revenge; and more.
